Twinkle, Twinkle?

...

It seems to be going backwards. Breastfeeding, that is. Or perhaps sleeping. Neviyah used to sleep a lot overnight. Maybe she would get up once to breastfeed. On a bad night, she would get up twice. Last night. Five times. Night before. Four times.

It's not like I didn't ask for this -- inadvertently.

I do vaguely remember praying about this. Or begging. "Hashem, please help Neviyah breastfeed more often." I did NOT mean overnight. I meant during the day.

Neviyah barely breastfeeds during the day. I live in fear of her weaning herself. Sometimes she will only get a good breastfeeding in two times during the day. Sometimes she will wake up at 7 a.m. and not breastfeed. She refuses me sometimes until 10:30 a.m. I still can't believe I have a child that doesn't comfort-suck. I can't believe I have a child that doesn't want to breastfeed during the day.

So it isn't like I haven't been begging the universe to kick this breastfeeding thing into gear.

Really, though, I meant during the daytime hours...not overnight!
